SUN PROTECTION
Students and team officials will be sitting on the hill under shade shelters. Sunscreen and hat may be required if the sun UV is high, so they will need a hat and sunscreen lotion.
UNIFORMS
Running tops and team jackets will be lent to students on the final training. Students will need black or navy shorts or tights, socks, and sandshoes. Please make sure students are dressed warmly; long trousers, coat, an extra jumper to wear under their team jacket. It is important that ALL NW team tops and jackets are returned to the team managers/coaches at the end of the carnival. Girls where possible if they could wear a crop top singlet under their tops. We ask that tops and jackets be not left inside out; and jackets are zipped up. Students will need to bring a change of top and jacket/jumper with them.
SPIKES
If students have spikes (please don’t go out and buy spikes) not exceeding 6mm may be worn only in the long jump and lane events E.g. 100m, 200m and 400m. For safety reasons spikes will not be permitted in 800m, 1500m or relays. Competitors are not allowed to run in bare feet.
